Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be conducting an online examination on a very large scale of 64,371 manpower for increasing the strength of the Indian Railway Department. The following examinations will be of two stages. RRB will be releasing their first notification in the month of March 2019.

Approx 64,371 number of vacant openings are there in the first stage for the positions of ALP, Lineman, Keyman and for the repairing staff members. Notification on the RRB Recruitment 2019

The Railway Recruitment Board has announced the vacancy of 27,795 Assistant Loco Pilot and 36,576 Group D posts. The notification and the online application accepted by the RRB Regional has been released on the official website in the month of March 2019.

Applicants will now have to wait for the RRB Group D Examination and for the ALP Examination date. It will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Board.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2019- 27,795 Posts

Indian Railways is recruiting for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in a bulk. The total number of vacancies are 27,795 and above as per the Notification No. CEN 01/2019. Candidates who have completed their ITI and have a Trade Certificate for any concerned Trade can apply for this profile.

Eligible applicants can apply from 22.09.2019. The last date for applying will be 01.10.2019. The examinations are expected to take place during the month of August 2019.

Indian Railway Group D Recruitment 2019- 36,576 Posts for Online Application

Indian Railway is hiring for the Group D post for approximately 36,576 vacancies under the notification no. CEN 02/2019. Age limit for this particular post will be from 18-33 years. Applicants who are 10th pass or has done ITI from NCVT/SCVT are eligible for the Group D post. The application mode will be online itself.

The confirmed date for the online application will be the same as ALP. The examinations will be conducted under the vigilance of Central Government.

RRB Group D Examination Date will be released in the month of August 2019 by the Railway Recruitment Board. The Group D Examination is expected to take place in September, admit cards for the RRB Group D Examination will be given 1 week before the exams. Before releasing the admit card the board will be releasing the Exam City and Travel Pass.

Details of the Eligibility criteria for the following posts:

Assistant Loco Pilot (Group C) – Age limit is from 18- 40 years

ALP and Goods Guard– Educational Qualification has to be a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with UGC recognized with the University of India. The age limit should be from 18- 40 years.

Traffic Assistant– Educational Qualification has to be a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Government recognized with the University of India. The age limit should be from 18- 40 years.

Commercial Apprentice– Educational Qualification has to be a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Government recognized with the University of India. The age limit should be from 18- 40 years.

RRB Group D and ALP Application Process

Interested applicants who are eligible for the post has to visit the official regional website of RRB and RRC for further details. Adhaar card submission will be mandatory from this year onwards.

Before submitting the online application form you have to arrange the following documents in order which will be the educational qualification details, photographs, signature, and the Adhaar card number. Once all the detail is arranged, kindly follow the steps mentioned below to submit the online application of the RRB Jobs 2019

  • Once on the home page, you will notice “Employment Notice” on the right side of the website. Click on the link (indianrailways.gov.in/…d/viewsection.jsp)
  • After that,  you will come across “Current Jobs Notification”.
  • Now, click on the “Current Jobs Notification” and read all the instructions given carefully.
  • Then, click on the “Apply online link”. The application system for the current RRB Jobs 2019 will appear on the screen. Fill all the required details and upload your photograph and signature.
  • And once after everything is done, Click on the “submit” button.

Kindly check your status after few days of submitting the online application to ensure that the application is accepted, which will hence allow the applicant to sit for the online examination. Candidates whose applications are accepted by the RRB will only be able to download the admit card. Once that is cleared, the candidates can then check with their names and the registration number.

This year onwards the Railway Recruitment Board has decided to conduct all the examinations online. Approximately 3 crore Indian candidates can apply for the various posts and can give the examination. The RRB will be conducting the examination in various phases. In order to fill online application for RRB Jobs 2018, then the candidate must follow and observe the process of online examination.

Eligible and suitable candidates will have to go through three phases of examinations in order to get selected by the RRB. The first phase will be conducted in the month of January 2019 and after that, they announced the results. The process of selection and examination pattern will be soon updated as and when it gets released by the RRB.

Examination Format

Candidates whose applications are found after the initial step is cleared will be called for a Written Test. A separate call letter including the date of examination, time and venue will be available online.
Written Examination will consist of objective type questions with multiple choice ( 4 options). The Question paper is usually set on the basis of a 10th class standard to assess the general knowledge/awareness/mathematics reasoning etc. There will be 100 Questions and the duration of the written examination will be 90 minutes. There will be negative markings as well.
