Railway department of India released a notification about 8561 vacancies of officers’ scale one and office assistants post on June of this year. RRB was successful to conduct a prelims exam on August 2018. And the result of the respective exam will be published on 7th October of this year.

Eligibility Criteria

There are three steps of the eligibility criteria for the officers’ scale one and office assistants post. Check out the different stages below: –

Age criteria-

If you want to apply for office assistant post, then your age must be in between 18-28 years

For Officer scale 1, the upper age limit is 30 years while the lower age limit is 18 years.

For Officer scale 2 posts you will have to be between 21-32 years old

And if you are appearing for Officer scale 3 posts then your age must be between 21-39 years old

Educational qualification-

Office assistant: For this post, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian institute.

Officer scale 1: If you have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian institute then you are eligible for this post. Having a degree in Agriculture, Science, Engineering, etc. will be preferable.

Officer scale 2: Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian institute with a minimum of 50% marks will be eligible.

Officer scale 3: You must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian institute with a minimum of 50% marks to apply for this post.

The total number of 8651 jobs are available for the IBPS positions this year.

  • 3321 vacancies are available in various regional rural banks
  • 5249 posts are open for the office assistants

Salary Structure

How much will you get in hand? Well, the answer is 23700-30560 for the officer scale post and 16000-20000 for the office assistants post. INR 980 is an annual increment that the bank will get and the staff will get the benefits for a certain period of 7 years.

Exam Pattern

There are two sections for the exams of officer scale and office assistants.

The students will get a total of 45 minutes for writing on the exam. Each of these sections will consist of 40 questions.
